SAT/ACT Math Test Prep Program of Study

The Math Clinic offers a unique and effective common sense approach to SAT test preparation that incorporates extensive instruction and practice while at the same time continuously identifying and addressing the concepts most in need of strengthening.  This program is effective for PSAT and ACT test preparation as well.

This is done through successive interations of  "practice test > error analysis > instruction/practice.   The student is given an initial diagnostic test to identify specific concepts most in need of strengthening.  Instruction and practice worksheets then target these specific concepts to strengthen. This begins the repeated iterations of "practice test > error analysis > instruction/practice

Each interation begins with the student being assigned a practice SAT test that simulates an actual SAT test.  Using our proprietary computer analysis, the test results are analyzed to identify specific concepts identified as most in need of strengthening.   This is immediately followed by targeted instruction and practice to strengthen these specific concepts.

This cycle of  "practice test > error analysis > instruction/practice”  can be repeated several times.  The feedback from each test analysis continues to analyze and target instruction and practice on the concepts most in need of strengthening.  And with each iteration, the student gains valuable test-taking practice that simulates the SAT.  This is the key to mastering the SAT.

SAT math lessons can be combined and included within regular coursework tutoring sessions with practice tests assignments. This SAT math program is particularly beneficial as a terrific comprehensive review of core math concepts that strengthens each student’s coursework foundation.
